    The Ithaca Journal reports that the Tompkins County Sheriff's Office says Rosalyn Degraw of Ovid was walking in the northbound lane of Route 96 around 4:45 a.m. Thursday when she was hit by a box truck in the town of Ithaca, on the southern end of Cayuga Lake. Deputies say the truck is owned by a Rochester delivery company and was driven by a Binghamton man.

The cab driver climbed out of the vehicle, and as the suspect was trying to get the cab in gear, the driver grabbed her arm and wrestled the knife out of her hand, police say.
