    The Michigan State Police are searching for 27-year-old Cameron John MacDonald of Ishpeming, who went missing on May 7. He was last seen leaving his house on an "old style" chrome bike at around 6 p.m. MacDonald is 6' 2" and weighs around 130 pounds. He was wearing a gray fleece, gray t-shirt, blue jeans and tennis shoes at the time he went missing.

    One of the wettest periods on record in Upper Michigan culminated in a snowstorm over a good share of the U.P. on May 6-7, 1960. Old timers in Negaunee and Ishpeming were unable to remember worse weather the first week of May. May Day was preceded by a sloppy four to eight inches of snow over central sections on April 30. After a brief dry spell, new low pressure formed from the Rockies into the High Plains on May 3, while a frontal boundary set up from the low into the Upper Great Lakes, paralleling the developing southwest flow aloft .

    According to Marquette City Police, on April 25, Emily Anne McCullom, 28, and Ryan Woodrow Barry, 27, were arrested on outstanding arrest warrants after their vehicle was located in the Menards parking lot in Marquette Township. Barry had a warrant for receiving and concealing stolen property, while McCullom had a warrant for burglary.
