    For 10 years the Free Medical Clinic of Newberry County Inc. has provided medical assistance to those in Newberry County who cannot afford insurance and do not qualify for government programs. "When the clinic got started in 2004, the only free clinic in the state that we knew of was in Hilton Head," said Pamela Branton, executive director of the clinic.
