"Imperial County and Coachella Valley through their Association of Governments have some pilot programs and detection systems in place in regards to Earthquake Early Warning Systems-and I know personally and have seen firsthand the benefit in terms of the early minute warning of the system where we have been able to buy some time through this detection system and have seen doors to fire stations and other first responders open up due to the Earthquake Early Warning System," said Garcia.
