    An early Wednesday morning crash on Interstate 40 sent a Holbrook woman to the hospital for treatment. At 5:43 a.m. on Feb. 25, a Ford pickup driven by Rosita Thomas, 41, was eastbound on Interstate 40 in the area of milepost 285 in Holbrook when it ran into the guardrail, damaging about 100 feet of railing.

    Euthanasia rates at the Holbrook Animal Shelter have dropped dramatically in the last five months, thanks to a joint effort between city staff and the recently formed Friends of the Shelter volunteer group.
