    Mayor Don Schonhardt called the purchase of land in Hilliard by Amazon subsidiary Vadata "a positive step forward" but no guarantee that the company would build a data center in the city. According to records at the Franklin County Auditor's Office, Vadata closed on the parcel at the southeast corner of Hayden Run Road and Britton Parkway on Feb. 25. The closing came two days after Hilliard City Council offered the latest incentive designed to woo the online retailing giant's subsidiary to Hilliard.
