    Hialeah, Florida, to Earl and Jan Barthe Hatch, Jim lived most of his life in this area. He was a 1978 graduate of Richmond High School. Jim worked for the Indiana State Highway Department, retiring after 20 years. He was a member of the Living Faith Church of God. As he was growing up, Jim loved hunting. He later had a passion for cars which led him to being involved in car clubs and racing. Jim was a proud member of the NRA and enjoyed the outdoors, camping, and spending time with his family. Survivors include his wife of 20 years, Jenny Hodel Hatch to whom he was married on April 1, 1995; children, Ashley (Levi) Limburg of Centerville, Indiana, James (Glenda) Unterbrink of Indianapolis, Indiana, and Dalton Hatch of Richmond; sister, Patty (Billy) McCarter of Fairfield Glade, Tennessee; nieces; nephews; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his mother, Jan Barthe Hatch Boyer; father, Earl Hatch; and one sister, Brenda Durbin. Visitation for Earl James "Jim" Hatch will be from 4 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, 2015, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at Living Faith Church of God, 3777 Nolandsfork Road, Richmond, with Pastor Allen Henderson officiating. Burial will be in Earlham Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to: American Cancer Society, Wayne County Unit, 5635 West 96th Street, Suite 100 Indianapolis, IN 46278. Condolences may be sent to the family via the guest book at www.doanmillsfuneralhome.com.
