    Two people were killed and a third critically injured Wednesday in a three-vehicle crash on Interstate 40 eastbound at Old Hickory Boulevard in Hermitage, along the Wilson County line. The driver of a 2005 Dodge Neon, Nathan Zarzycki, 22, of Brodheadsville, Pa., told investigators that he got tired and pulled over on what he thought was the shoulder, put his flashers on and went to sleep.

    A Hermitage man was killed in a wreck Sunday night after he lost control of his car on the Spring Creek Bridge, went through a guardrail and landed in the creek. According to a Tennessee Highway Patrol report released Monday, Joshua W. Mayfield, 28, was driving his 2008 Nissan Altima south on Highway 231 just before 10 p.m. The report said he was driving too fast on the wet road when the Altima swerved as he approached the Spring Creek Bridge.
