    A suspected felon and a Riverside County Sheriff's K9 were left dead following a lengthy SWAT standoff in Hemet on Wednesday, Jan. 21. The Riverside County Sheriff's Department responded to the 40200 block of Clark Drive at about 2:30 p.m. to look for a wanted felon seen in that area. "A San Jacinto Police K9 handler and his K9 partner Sultan responded to assist in the search of the wanted felon," Riverside County Sheriff Deputy Albert Martinez wrote in a press release.
