    A Hanover man faces charges of attempted homicide and arson for allegedly setting a series of fires in Hanover and Penn Township during the past few weeks. Derek Raymond Graham, 20, was arraigned Thursday and incarcerated on $250,000 bail, according to a news release from Hanover Police.

Library officials had planned to put an 8-by-4-foot lighted sign on the front of the building's brick wall along Carlisle Street and one behind the library on Railroad Street, according to the proposal. The signs would have cost $10,000 in total.

    A 20-year-old Hanover man has been charged with 20 criminal counts in connection to nine fires that burned in May in Hanover Borough and Penn Township. Derek Graham, of the first block of McAllister Street, was charged with four counts of attempted criminal homicide, seven counts of arson and related offenses and nine counts of recklessly endangering another person, according to Hanover Borough police documents.
