The new train rode into TriMet's Ruby Junction facility on Northwest Eleven Mile Avenue Wednesday, Oct. 22, and TriMet General Manager Neil McFarlane was on hand along with Ron van Huuksloot, project manager for Siemens Corp., which built the train.

    A 10-year-old girl was taken to the hospital after she was shot in the leg while staying a friend's apartment Saturday morning. A call came into Gresham Police around 9 a.m. where residents reported they heard gunshots fired at the Raintree Apartment complex located between at 878 SE 187th St. between SE Yamhill St. and SE Stark St. Officer Adam Baker said he thought it was just a shots fired call, but minutes later learned one of the bullets penetrated the apartment where the girl was playing in an upstairs bedroom, hitting her in the leg.
