    Tornado watches are now in effect for much of Mississippi, as a strong line of severe weather moves into the state, according to the National Weather Service. The affected area reaches as far north as Grenada and south of Hattiesburg, and the watch is in effect until 9 p.m. This line of severe weather could produce damaging wind gusts in excess of 60 mph, large damaging hail and frequent dangerous lightning strikes.
