National Weather Service officials in the Grand Rapids office say that between two and five inches could fall in a 16-hour span before the advisory expires at 7 AM tomorrow, with the possibility of rates of an inch an hour at times, as rain today turns into a wintry mix overnight.

The driver, Elizabeth Finzel, claimed that a blue van cut her off on westbound I-96 before the 112th Avenue overpass, causing her to eventually lose control of her vehicle.
