Port Jackson Media LLC has sold the Amsterdam Recorder and five weekly newspapers in the region to McClary Media Inc., owned by Recorder Publisher Kevin McClary. The sale was announced by Robert Kosineski Sr., whose family owns Port Jackson's parent firm, Schenectady-based Benchemark Printing. Comment?

Last night, at the Shaker Ridge Country Club, I was the guest speaker for the Albany High School Class of 1964 50th reunion banquet. I did this gig two years ago for the Class of 1962, and now it was time to see if I could repeat that success. Comment?
Members of the New York State Nurses Association, a union, will take their case to the streets at Nathan Littauer Hospital in Gloversville, Ellis Hospital in Schenectady and Bellevue Woman's Center in Niskayuna. The nurses say they are fighting for increased RN staffing and whistleblower protections for patient advocates, among other things. Comment?
