    A proposal to build senior apartments and commercial space has surfaced in Franklin, a project that would require removing some of the site's wetlands. Glendale-based Hintze Group LLC, led by former Glendale Mayor Jay Hintze and John Klement, former vice president at now-defunct Icon Development Corp., has filed conceptual plans with the city for 10.4 acres north of W. Rawson Ave. and west of S. 68th St. A prospective developer, not named in the plans, would build 160 to 180 apartments, said Hintze, whose firm is a consultant on the project.

    The Milwaukee County sheriff's office kept busy with drunken-driving suspects this weekend, making at least eight arrests, including one involving a wrong-way driver who crashed and another with a repeat drunken driver whose vehicle rolled. Sheriff's deputies and Glendale police were called about 2:30 a.m. Sunday for a wrong-way driver who was heading north in the southbound lanes of I-43 at Capitol Drive, according to a news release.
