Fruitport , which played as one of the smallest Class A schools this year, will be one of the biggest again next year in Class B as statewide classifications were announced Monday by the Michigan High School Athletic Association.

Hicks on Friday sentenced Randee Bastian, 28, of Fruitport Township to the Michigan Department of Corrections for between 18 months and 10 years for second-degree child abuse and 364 days for lying to police, with credit for 364 days already served in county jail on both counts.
