Critics argue that the tickets issued by red-light cameras are not enforceable, and more than 11,400 people have signed a petition asking for the issue to be added to the ballot May 9. There are 23 red-light cameras across in Arlington. Supporters say the cameras increase safety in busy intersections and have reduced accidents.
