    After hearing from residents and local business leaders about the hardships that would be caused by raising electric rates during a public hearing Tuesday night, the Fort Morgan City Council approved the recommended increase 6-0, with Councilwoman Christine Castoe out sick. The increase is likely to affect "average" residential customers to the tune of $7.40 more per month, according to the city's rates consultant, John Krajewski of JK Consulting.
