Opened in 1920 as the Rex, the theater was renovated in 1930 to adapt from silent movies and vaudeville to sound movies.

    UPDATE: The Nevada Highway Patrol is now reporting that a Fallon man who allegedly murdered his ex-wife late Monday afternoon died of a self-inflicted wound. According to the Churchill County Sheriff Ben Trotter, Larry Small, 63, committed the homicide shortly after 3 p.m. According to Trotter, Small allegedly shot his ex-wife in the back of the head at the Churchill County cemetery and fled.
