    Fairlawn city officials have begun the planning process for the widening of South Cleveland-Massillon Road from Kumho Drive to Bywood Road sometime between 2020 and 2022. Deputy Service Director Ernie Staten said during the March 23 Fairlawn City Council meeting the project also includes the resurfacing of South Cleveland-Massillon Road from Bywood Avenue to state Route 18. "We are going to apply in the fall to AMATS [the Akron Metropolitan Area Transportation Study], which is an organization that oversees the federal and state funding for roads here in Northeast Ohio," he said.
