Harry Tipping, an attorney with Stark & Knoll and inaugural president of the newly formed Fairlawn Neighborhood Homeowners Association , said he formed the organization to help answer such questions from homeowners living in Fairlawn. Tipping was prompted to start the organization when legislation came before Fairlawn City Council this past fall proposing landlords be required to obtain annual licenses, have rental units inspected each time there is a change in occupancy and pay respective fees.

Copley Trustee Helen Humphrys said she will ask the township attorney if additional information about what Copley officials see as a safety issue still could be filed with the 9th District Court of Appeals, which is deciding the township's appeal of a lower court ruling that Fairlawn can close the road.
