The Happy Bark Dog Park at 91st and California is closed "for a week or two on the advice of a local veterinarian," Mayor Jim Sexton said, as reported by the Daily Southtown.

    The Happy Bark Dog Park at 91st Street and California Avenue in Evergreen Park has temporarily closed due to the outbreak of canine flu in Cook County, Mayor Jim Sexton announced this week. More than 1,000 cases of canine flu and five fatalities among dogs have been reported, according to the Cook County Department of Animal and Rabies Control.

    About 2:30 p.m., the man did not show a weapon when he robbed the bank at 9550 S. Kedzie Ave. in Evergreen Park, according to the FBI. He is described as a black man, in his late 20s or early 30s, standing between 6-feet and 6-feet-1, with a birth mark on his forehead above his right eye, the FBI said.
