    Known for helping set the groundwork for Georgia's 4-H program, Emmie Nelson was posthumously inducted into the National 4-H Hall of Fame Oct. 10. With less than 20 Georgians recognized since the Hall of Fame's inception in 2002, the accomplishment is considered a prestigious honor for the Euharlee native. "4-H first began in 1902, and the Georgia 4-H program began in 1904," State 4-H Leader and Director of 4-H Arch Smith said.
