    The Erie planning commission on Wednesday voted 4-2 to deny a resolution to allow the Front Range Landfill to add a liquid waste facility within city limits. The Times-Call reports that proposal still must go before the town's board of trustees for approval, but Wednesday's vote will send a recommendation from the planning commission to deny the project.

During two public meetings last week with neighbors bordering the property in south Erie, Front Range Landfill representatives announced they would seek to move the proposed facility a few hundred feet to a patch of the property in Weld County, outside of Erie town limits, if the town turns down the application.
