The following Kaneland-area establishments passed the compliance check by refusing to sell liquor to the ILCC underage participants: a Valley Liquors, Elburn a Schmidt's Towne Tap, Elburn a Calamity Jane's, Sugar Grove a Countrystop, Sugar Grove a Lupita's Cocina, Inc., Campton Hills a Tavern in the Hills, Campton Hills a The Outpost, Campton Hills a The Lodge, Campton Hills a Old Towne Pub & Eatery, St. Charles During the operation, there were two prior violators re-tested for compliance-Schmidt's Towne Tap and Countrystop-both refused to sell liquor and thus passed.

    Two of 11 liquor-license holders in Elburn , Sugar Grove and Campton Hills recently failed an underage compliance check, according to a news release from the Illinois Liquor Control Commission. Chico's Cantina, at 107 Valley Drive, Elburn, and Village Liquor, at 84 Main St., Sugar Grove, failed the March 19 checks, which were conducted by the ILCC in conjunction with the Secretary of State Police.

Calling the township's rates "the lowest road rate in Kane County," Anderson said that as the costs for blacktop have "skyrocketed" over the years, there has been no increase in Blackberry Township's rate since the 1970s.
