    Bartholomew County Sheriff's Department deputies and Edinburgh police officers have arrested a Columbus man after a female victim reported she had been severely beaten. Justin Wayne Burton, 19, 4972 N. County Road 150W, was arrested on a preliminary charge of domestic battery Sunday after sheriff's deputies located him at a McDonald's in Edinburgh and took him into custody, according to a news release from the sheriff's department.

    Indiana conservation officers drag the Big Blue River below the dam in Edinburgh where three people escaped, but one was missing Friday in the swift waters near the bridge on Indiana 252 Friday June 6, 2014 Five Franklin Community High School students - Jason Moran, Michael Chadbourne, Sarah McLevish, Trent Crabb and Mark Nally - went over the dam on the Big Blue River in Edinburgh on June 6. McLevish had been swept over by the current, and the four boys followed, trying to save her. Moran, Chadbourne and McLevish were pulled under the water.
