They jointly recommended the tractor be sold to offset the loan taken out for the new tractor at the Edgecomb Board of Selectmen meeting Monday, Dec. 15. The agreement was reached after the true value of the broken-down tractor was determined.

Matthew Grasser Jr., 21, of Edgecomb, was arrested and brought to Two Bridges Regional Jail in Wiscasset on Dec. 9. Bail was set at $2,500.

    By Dominik Lobkowicz A Wiscasset man has been charged with aggravated assault after allegedly grabbing a woman by the throat and punching her in the face Nov. 6. Michael B. Burns, 31, of Wiscasset, was arrested by Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputy Jared Mitkus after Mitkus and Deputy Justin Drake responded to a domestic disturbance on Wawenock Road in Edgecomb. In their investigation, the alleged victim said she and Burns were arguing before he called her a name and allegedly grabbed her throat and punched her in the face, Mitkus wrote in an affidavit.

    A rollover accident on Route 97 in Cushing the night of Nov. 11 sent three young men, including one from Edgecomb, to Penobscot Bay Medical Center for injuries, according to a press release from the Knox County Sheriff's Office. Deputies responding to the report of the rollover at about 8 p.m. found a 2005 Chevrolet pickup truck had rolled multiple times and taken out a telephone pole.
