    Lawrence + Memorial Hospital is asking leaders of six local towns to help close the $500,000 annual deficit in its budget for paramedic services. Ron Kersey, coordinator for L+M emergency medical services and manager of the paramedic intercept program, said the hospital is hoping East Lyme, Groton, Ledyard, New London, Stonington and Waterford will agree to contribute a total of $250,000 to $300,000 annually toward the paramedic program.
