Dempsey qualified for the tourney by placing fourth among individuals at the Northern Section Championships on Nov. 3 at Table Mountain Golf Course in Oroville with an 89. Durham sophomore Carson Mulholland, who was second at sections with an 87, was one of two golfers to withdraw from the NorCals.
