In a lawsuit filed in the Kane County, Illinois circuit court on May 21, John and Jane A. Doe, individually and on behalf of their now 17-year-old daughter Jane Doe, claim the alleged rape of their daughter by a 31-year-old youth minister at the First Congregational Church of Dundee, Ill., "destroyed the spiritual, physical, and mental core of the child and her parents."

    A 28-year-old Elgin man was caught with heroin after leading authorities on a chase that ended when his car rolled over and caught fire near Santa's Village Azoosment Park in East Dundee. Elijah C. Pittman, of the 0-99 block of Crystal Street, is charged with possession of a controlled substance, aggravated fleeing and eluding, resisting arrest, driving under the influence and a host of other traffic offenses.
