    A Vacaville teenager accused of a gunshot slaying late last week in Dixon made his first appearance in Solano County Superior Court Tuesday but did not enter a plea to a murder charge. Raul Gutierrez-Ayar, 16, is accused of the April 17 shooting death of 17-year-old Charlie Moore, Jr. Solano County prosecutors have charged Gutierrez-Ayar as an adult in connection with Moore's death.

    A 16-year-old Vacaville teen with what prosecutors describe as a history of violence and gun-toting pleaded not guilty to murder and attempted murder charges for a deadly late-night shooting Friday in Dixon. Raul Gutierrez-Ayar, who authorities identify as a gang member, allegedly opened fire on a group at Dixon's Northwest Park, near North Lincoln Street and West H Street, shortly after 8 p.m. Charles Moore Jr., 17, was shot in the chest and in the side and died shortly after being rushed to a nearby hospital.
