Lomme, a Democrat from Essex, is the judge at Saybrook Probate Court, which serves Chester, Clinton, Deep River, Essex, Haddam, Killingworth, Lyme, Old Saybrook and Westbrook. He was elected four years ago, when the state's probate courts were consolidated and regionalized and all judges were required, for the first time, to be attorneys.
