The case made headlines this week after a judge initially awarded the Ingram family $72 million, but reduced the amount to $36.9 million because Georgia law restricts the amount for punitive damages. Even with the reduced amount, however, attorneys for the family say Ingram is not like to actually receive the money because the dogs' owner, Twyann Vaughn, doesn't have any assets.
