Decatur police said Wal-Mart's loss prevention employees reported a young man tried to leave the store with stolen clothing on Nov. 9. Loss prevention said they chased him into the parking lot until he turned, hid his hands and told them he had a gun.

Police say patrol officers noticed a suspicious vehicle parked near the intersection of Westmead Road and Danville Road on Nov. 7. Police report the driver was identified as Lancaster Deshaun Lewis, 25. Officers said the investigation uncovered synthetic marijuana, also known as spice, inside the vehicle.
