I thought so, too, but the Milwaukee Ballet's production, which opened Thursday at the Marcus Center, is filled with star turns by men. Patrick Howell and Timothy O'Donnell, in drag as Cinderella's stepsisters, more knuckleheaded than wicked, made the audience laugh all night with their deliberately awkward movements and gaucheries, earning a well-deserved standing roar from the audience at the end.
