    CORNING >> The city of Corning will install a four-way stop sign at Houghton Avenue and Fig Lane after observing motorists speeding in the area near Corning Community Park. The City Council unanimously adopted a resolution creating a four-way stop at the intersection at its meeting Tuesday, accepting a city staff recommendation that says the stop signs will encourage drivers to slow down on the road adjacent to the park's soccer fields and improve safety for pedestrians.
