The truck fled and led them on a chase with speeds up to 90 miles an hour.

    A Cathedral City man convicted of first-degree murder for providing a shotgun used by his stepson to kill a man in front of a home in Desert Hot Springs is scheduled to be sentenced Friday. William Paul McCrumb was found guilty Feb. 2, of all charges stemming from the April 2, 2014, shooting death of Damon Capacchione, 38. McCrumb, 63, faces a sentence of 25 years to life in prison on his convictions for murder, murder with malice, assault with a deadly weapon, accessory to murder with malice and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
