    The California Department of Transportation will close from one to three lanes of the northbound Ventura Freeway nightly between Mobil Pier and Casitas Pass Road from Sunday night, March 1 through Friday morning, March 6. From one to three lanes of southbound U.S. 101 will be closed for three nights beginning Monday, March 3 from 8 p.m. to 9 a.m. The Bates road off-ramp to northbound U.S. 101 will be closed between midnight and 6 a.m. on Wednesday, March 5. The closures are related to a six-mile carpool lane project from Mussel Shoals in Ventura County to Carpinteria in Santa Barbara County.
