Marvin, a 35-year-old Briarcliff Manor resident, has been arrested and charged in the theft of credit cards at the New York Sports Club in Putnam Plaza and at Gold's Gym in the Shop Rite Plaza on Route 52, both in Carmel, according to the Putnam County Sheriff's Department. Police said that on Monday, March 16, the Putnam County Sheriff's Department received two complaints from the New York Sports Club, where victims had reported the theft of credit cards and other items from unlocked lockers at the club.

    A Bronx man has been charged after a New York State Police Bureau of Criminal Investigation revealed he had cashed several counterfeit checks in Carmel and Southeast, according to New York state police. Byron P. Kempson, 29, was arrested by state police from the Brewster barracks on Tuesday, March 17, for criminal possession of a forged instrument in the second degree and grand larceny in the fourth degree, both felonies, state police said.
