The Florida Highway Patrol, Collier County Sheriff's Office, Cape Coral and Medley Police Departments and the National Insurance Crime Bureau also assisted in the investigation.

    I find it interesting that when the Cape Coral Police Department presentation on extended bar hours stated the problems that could occur, the majority of the City Council voted against what appeared to be the "expert" opinion of the police department. Yet, now some council members support the "expert" opinion that lowering the residential speed limit is not a good idea due to the cost of enforcement.
