    The St. Lawrence County Drug Task Force is undergoing an investigation into a possible Lisbon methamphetamine lab Wednesday after discovering components of a lab in Canton Tuesday night. Sheriff Kevin M. Wells said task force members had been called to the Canton Price Chopper in the early evening Tuesday for what he called a “meth lab clean up.” Task force members discovered components to a meth lab in a dumpster at the Canton grocery store and Mr. Wells said they received a complaint late-morning/early-afternoon Wednesday at a trailer at Sandburg Circle on the west side of Route 37 in Lisbon.

    Stanley Cohen's basketball legacy is so extensive and so deep that when Dallas Mavericks coach Rick Carlisle was preparing for a west coast matchup with the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday night, his thoughts were with Cohen's family. Cohen, inducted into the Basketball Coaches Association of New York Hall of Fame last March, died Wednesday morning at age 80. Cohen was a legendary coach in the north country for decades, worked under the direction of SUNY Potsdam head coach Jerry Welsh during the Bears' national championship run, and also worked as head coach for the SUNY Canton men's and women's teams for 23 years.
