    A Canon City man was arrested Sunday in the Ecology Park area for impersonating a peace officer and identifying himself as a U.S. Marshal. Joshua Davis, 29, was taken into custody by Fremont County Sheriff's deputies without incident after he allegedly approached a person who was sledding, identified himself as a U.S. Marshall and told him he had to leave the area.

    I read with disbelief the decision of the Colorado Court of Appeals in which the court found that, even though CPW violated its own regulations by approving the project, it really did not matter and upheld the state's approval of the project. Apparently legalese, along with the same old tired adjectives describing Christo as a "world renowned artist," and no doubt money flowing somewhere, won out over the will of 80 percent of "the people" who live and work in the canyon, Fremont County and Canon City.
