    The City of Caneyville resolved to support Grayson County's Work Ready Community in Progress initiative on Monday night, Jan. 12. During Monday's regularly scheduled Caneyville City Commission meeting, Steve Meredith, project coordinator for Grayson County's Work Ready Community in Progress initiative, addressed the City Commission requesting its support. Meredith said the program tells potential employers that Grayson County has a quality workforce that is ready for the current job market.

    Officers arrested a Grayson County man on Wednesday after a vehicle was stolen in Leitchfield and wrecked it in Caneyville just hours later. Leitchfield resident Rodney Roof reported his Dodge Ram pick-up truck stolen from a Main Street gas station at just before 5 a.m. on Dec. 10. Roof told officers that he went inside to purchase a sandwich and the vehicle had been stolen in a matter of minutes.
