    During its regularly scheduled meeting on Monday, the Caneyville City Commission heard a presentation from Denver Blain, of C.I. Thornburg Co., Inc., regarding upgrading the city's water meter system from direct read meters to automated meters. Caneyville Water/Sewer Superintendent Avery Flener reported during the February City Commission meeting that his department would soon require new water meters because around 400 of the city's current meters are at least 15 years old.

Leitchfield resident Rodney Roof reported his Dodge Ram pick-up truck stolen from a Main Street gas station at just before 5 a.m. on Dec. 10. Roof told officers that he went inside to purchase a sandwich and the vehicle had been stolen in a matter of minutes.
