    A Maine State Prison inmate who is accused of brutally murdering another prisoner by stabbing him 87 times and planning to kill a guard is scheduled to make a court appearance Friday in an effort to get more records from the state. Richard Stahursky, also known as Richard Clement, is asking the court to order the prison to turn over his medical records and also the personnel file of the corrections officer that the state alleges he planned to murder.

    Starting Thursday, Dec. 4, the Penobscot Pet Pantry will operate from 123 John Street in Camden, where the organization will distribute cat and dog food to area families in need. The pantry will be held on the first Thursday of each month, from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. "It is wonderful to be able to utilize this space now and we're excited to have the pantry here," said Joelle Albury, volunteer coordinator and director of development for P.A.W.S. The Penobscot Pet Pantry extends its gratitude to P.A.W.S. and also wishes to thank the members of Rockport's Amity Masonic Lodge for the use of their facility prior to this relocation, according to a news release.

    A Camden man who was arrested last week and accused of breaking into a Rockport home and sexually assaulting a woman is being investigated in similar home invasions. Eli Z. Kemberling, 22, made a brief appearance Monday afternoon in Knox County Superior Court on a request by his attorney, Eric "Rick" Morse, to have bail amended so Kemberling could be taken by the jail to a rehabilitation center in Sidney for a screening to determine if he would be a suitable candidate for its program.
