That means all voter registration applications must be received by the Jackson County clerk's office in Brownstown or postmarked by that date to be approved in time for the Nov. 4 general election. Jackson County Clerk Amanda Lowery is encouraging residents to check on their voter registrations now, because they won't be able to register again until after the election.

The next step for Robert "Kyle" and Leah Broshears, who own Broshears Family Farm Inc., will be to present their plan to the Jackson County Board of Zoning Appeals at 7:30a p.m. Oct. 14. This will be a public hearing held in Jackson Circuit Court at the courthouse in Brownstown.
