Police said Mr. Brewer's single-engine 1997 Searey plane, which took off in Boonville on Thursday morning, was found in about 7 feet of water.

Mackenzie III, Lewis County emergency medical services coordinator. The pilot of the plane was identified in broadcast reports as Schiele “Bill” Brewer, 76. His single-engine plane crashed after taking off in Boonville.
