    Pilot Schiele “Bill” Brewer, 76, of Sherill, was killed in a small plane crash Thursday afternoon on the north side of Stillwater Reservoir in the town of Webb, Herkimer County, state police confirmed Friday. Police said Mr. Brewer's single-engine 1997 Searey plane, which took off in Boonville on Thursday morning, was found in about 7 feet of water.

His single-engine plane crashed after taking off in Boonville.
