According to Deputy Armando Munoz with the Riverside County Sheriff's Department, a deputy pulled a man over at Brownstown Drive and Ewarton Road just before 9:30 a.m. The driver was identified as a parolee-at-large and the man fled on foot.

    A suspected home intruder was shot and killed Saturday morning in Bermuda Dunes, Riverside County Sheriff's Sergeant Mike Manning said. The alleged intruder, described by police as an Hispanic man, was entering a home on the 41600 block of Adams St., just north of Avenue 42, at around 3:30 a.m. The homeowner said he was protecting two young children and their mother when he shot the intruder, said Sgt.
