    Belmont police asked for the public's help Monday in finding a man who they say broke into a local apartment building garage, and tried to steal two vehicles. According to Belmont Police Captain Patrick Halleran, the thief used a crow bar to break into the lobby of the building in the 1100 block of Ralston Avenue at around 11:35 p.m. "The suspect then went into the garage and attempted to steal a Ford Explorer and a Ford Taurus from the garage," Halleran said in a news release issued Monday.
