    Coach Mike Balliett and his Wittenberg-Birnamwood Lady Chargers settled down in the second half of their first contest this season, taking down Mosinee 57-45 on Thursday evening. Outscored 14-10 in the first quarter and 33-27 by halftime, leadership in the form of upperclassmen Siri Zeinert and Erika Alwes allowed Witt-Birn to hold the Indians in the second half while the two girls went to town offensively.

A competitor in the Tuesday Commercial bracket, Rew added games of 224 and 210 to the solid 278 to tally a big 714 series - the only 700-plus score of the night.
