Altoona-Johnstown diocese spokesman Tony DeGol said an initiative headed by Bishop Mark L. Bartchak allowed committees - comprised of pastors, teachers, principals, lawyers, business professionals and parents - to study the diocese's schools to find ways to make Catholic education more attainable and accessible.
