    An Alton woman will spend nearly four years behind bars after allegedly filing fraudulent tax returns for to undercover agents earlier this year. 33-year old Aisha Wright was sentenced Friday to 46-months in prison followed by three-years of supervised release as a result of her convictions for making two false claims against the United States according to U.S. State's Attorney Steven Wigginton.

    A St. Louis County woman has died, three days after allegedly being shot by man who was later killed by Alton Police on Monday evening. 27-year-old Melissa McCart of Affton was shot and critically injured on Sunday and died of her injuries on Wednesday night at a St. Louis hospital.
